When You're Around

Man I feel like a bum for not writing an entry for awhile. I'd also like to say here that I am amazed at how many people actually read this blog. I have gotten so many "You need to write a new blog entry." in the past few weeks. Thanks for reading guys!

I had a total awesome post but then I had to leave my house and I totally forgot my idea. At the moment I'm watching 2001: A Space Odyssey. Watching this movie I am realizing what peoples hopes were for us. Stanley Kubrick Directed and wrote the screen play for the movie which was released in 1968. Eric Arthur Blair aka George Orwell wrote the classic novel 1984 which was written in 1949. If I do the math right we should have had the technology in 1984 and 2001: A Space Odyssey 17 years ago. What did we have in 1991? We had the First Gulf War, the L.A. Riots, the Pittsburgh Penguins win their first Stanley Cup, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is released in the United States, Freddie Mercury died, Dr. Seuss died, U2 released their seventh album Achtung Baby, Nirvana released Nevermind, Boris Yeltsin becomes first freely elected president of Russian Republic, Dances With Wolves wins the Academy Award for Best Picture, Baseball officially bans Pete Rose from being elected to Hall of Fame, and Sterling Addison Randle was born!

Hmmm last time I check there weren't any commercial space stations, awesome tele-screens, dinner in pill, holograms, or psycho big brother governments being created in the last 17 years. What have we gotten in the last 17 years? Emo Kids, N64, Bop-It ( And all of its 1,000,000 spin offs!), Panic! At The Disco, Bluetooth, Mae, Guitar Hero, X-Box, the Zune, gas guzzling cars, the Sacajewea Dollar, actors being governors, and bad metal bands.

Also the last time I checked NONE OF THOSE ARE COOLER than the Technology in 984 and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Come on Scientists! Stop seeing how many Monkey Stem Cells you can fit on the head of a needle and start doing something useful! Make these people proud of their visions that they had. Prove to all the other countries that we are who we really are! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I Want To Hold Onto Something That Wont Break Away or Fall Apart

Well I planned on doing a video post for my next post but I kept on putting it off and look where that got me! It is like a week later! Actually its over a week! And it happens to be the 14th of Feburary which is Valentines Day if you didnt know! There are some people out there who are "Holiday Challenged". I would like to give a breif history of this day.

In the Catholic Church there are multiple Saints with the name Valentine (I.E. Valentine of Terni) and until about 1969 there were 14 different Valentine's Days for the various martyrs. The 14th is linked to Valentine of Terni and Valentine of Rome. It is disputed by a lot of people who it is actually linked too. Others think that it is the time that Zeus and Hera were married.

So there you have it. You and your lovey cakes are celebrating a wedding of 2 people you dont even know and are celebrating the death of great people. How do you feel about that now?

The City Is At War

To start it off I would like to say "Go Giants!" way to beat them Gaytriots and make it so they couldnt hav a perfect season. Does this mean it couldnt happen? I dont know, I'm not much of a football expert but I do know that the Salisbury Lacrosse team went 3 perfect seasons before losing a game so you never know it could happen! Was anyone else disapointed with the commercials during the game? There were only a hand full of them that were noticable. The Life Water one with Shaq as a jockey was awesome. FedEx's uses of giant Pigeons was most excellent and E-Trades baby that was also an on line trader were great! Other than those ones there werent really many "funny" ones. Bad year boys. We'll get em next year.

Looking For A Chance To Be Something More Than Just Metal

If you havent noticed it so far then I think its time to tell you. Every title has either been lyrics from a song of a title of a song. My blog name comes from a lyric too! That brings me to the topic of my post today. Music. It has always been in my life. I got it from my Dad. He never really sat down and said to me "Now son, Music is important and is here for a reason." I could just tell from his attitude that music is special and it is here for a reason. This leads me to my tops played in iTunes! This has changed I just havent taken a screen shot of the most recent one.

Time Wont Let Me Go...

I've decided that blogging is harder than you think it would! You have to come up with a witty title and then you gotta write about something. I think I've had writers block for the past few days.

Has anyone elso noticed how awesome High School sporting events are? Where else can you cheer, dress, and act the way you do at these events? For me I usually wear a pair of electric blue Nike short shorts, a Timpanogos High School Tank-top, a green Neff hat, blue Nike Soccer socks, and a pair of Nike hi-tops. Yestersay we played Spanish Fork. My friends and I arrived 2 minutes into the 3rd quater which was good because thats means we didnt have to pay! Since we are away the students get shafted and have to sit in the upper section of the stands. Unlike at our school where the bleachers go right down to the court. This also bugs me because when fans come from other schools to cheer on thier team they dont have to sit in the nose bleeds. They are at the same level as we are. Once you do walk into a game the atmosphere changes. There are no losers, preppy kids, nerds, jocks or any of those clicks. We are all T-Wolves. It is a glorious sight to see. We also have some pretty awesome cheers. Last night Spanish Fork (They are the Dons so must of their cheers involve Spanish roots) started cheering ,"O lay, o lay, o lay", (Or how ever you spell it!) so to dapen their spirts we started cheering "We speak English!" Yes it might be rude or inconsiderate, or maybe even racist but hey thats High School Sports. This is a picture of our best player.

My Life Has Become A Boring Pop Song And Everyone Is Singing Along

Its the middle of the week everyone! Huzzah! We're almost at the weekend! There has been something that has bothered me for about the past 2 weeks. Every morning I wake up somewhere between 6:50-7:00 and I have to jam and hurry to do things because Josh comes to get me at about 7:25-7:30. I woke up one day and went out of my room and down 2 flights of stairs into my bathroom, started the shower and went for my towel. I always grab my towel and hang it above the door so I can dry myself off with out getting super cold. I noticed that none of my towels were there! That is quite odd because there are usually 2 Lemon Yellow towels hanging there. I opened the dryer and the washer and they weren't in there. So now I am getting frusterated. These towles are amazing! They are soft and they are quite long and wide. That means I can wrap my self in them and feel nice a toasty. I run back up 2 flights of stairs grab a towel in the closet and run back down stairs. After I have taken my shower I reach up and grab the towel and wrap it around my waist. This towel is TINY. It is like a hotel towel but a weird Forest Green. for the record I HATE Hotel towels. They are always too small, rough, and never absorb much water. I use this towel to the best of my ability but to no use there is still water on me. I can feel it as I run back up stairs to my room and I can feel it because my clothes become wet. I have been using this towel for 2 weeks and I am starting to get really sick of it!
