I Make Her Say

For me there is nothing like hearing a song that you particularly enjoy and then hearing another band that you like cover it. Ever since 2000 Fearless Records has been producing the Punk Goes... albums. Each album has a different theme ranging from Pop, Metal, Crunk, and in April of this year they will be releasing Punk Goes... Class Rock. These albums are not only great listening but they also can help people discover new bands but it gives the listener a chance to hear a song that came out well before their time! It is a lot easier to listen to a band if you already know the song they are playing, and I think that is why so popular. I discovered Bayside with their cover of Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls," and became familiar with the Grammy nominated rapper Skee-Lo with The Secret Handshake's cover of his song "I Wish." I have also given scremo bands Chiodos, Silverstein, A Day to Remember, and a few others with their covers of "Flagpole Sitta," Apologize," and "Over My Head (Cable Car)." Here is a list of some of my favorite covers that you should check out!
