When You're Around

Man I feel like a bum for not writing an entry for awhile. I'd also like to say here that I am amazed at how many people actually read this blog. I have gotten so many "You need to write a new blog entry." in the past few weeks. Thanks for reading guys!

I had a total awesome post but then I had to leave my house and I totally forgot my idea. At the moment I'm watching 2001: A Space Odyssey. Watching this movie I am realizing what peoples hopes were for us. Stanley Kubrick Directed and wrote the screen play for the movie which was released in 1968. Eric Arthur Blair aka George Orwell wrote the classic novel 1984 which was written in 1949. If I do the math right we should have had the technology in 1984 and 2001: A Space Odyssey 17 years ago. What did we have in 1991? We had the First Gulf War, the L.A. Riots, the Pittsburgh Penguins win their first Stanley Cup, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is released in the United States, Freddie Mercury died, Dr. Seuss died, U2 released their seventh album Achtung Baby, Nirvana released Nevermind, Boris Yeltsin becomes first freely elected president of Russian Republic, Dances With Wolves wins the Academy Award for Best Picture, Baseball officially bans Pete Rose from being elected to Hall of Fame, and Sterling Addison Randle was born!

Hmmm last time I check there weren't any commercial space stations, awesome tele-screens, dinner in pill, holograms, or psycho big brother governments being created in the last 17 years. What have we gotten in the last 17 years? Emo Kids, N64, Bop-It ( And all of its 1,000,000 spin offs!), Panic! At The Disco, Bluetooth, Mae, Guitar Hero, X-Box, the Zune, gas guzzling cars, the Sacajewea Dollar, actors being governors, and bad metal bands.

Also the last time I checked NONE OF THOSE ARE COOLER than the Technology in 984 and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Come on Scientists! Stop seeing how many Monkey Stem Cells you can fit on the head of a needle and start doing something useful! Make these people proud of their visions that they had. Prove to all the other countries that we are who we really are! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

You forgot to mention the innovation of Tetris, as well as stuffed crust pizzas.

Sometimes when I don't want to go to bed... I just stay up and read all your blog posts that you left open on my computer.

This is my favorite. And so are you.
